Your hosts Andrea and Bernhard are well acquainted with the region - Bernhard himself moreover is a certified mountainbike-guide. They both are at your disposal in the mornings and evenings for tour tips for mountain bikers in the Salzkammergut.

  • We offer: 3 guided tours per week in at least 2 ability groups. At least 1 additional easy tour per week for beginners. Euro 85,- per tour and person.
  • For e-mountain bikers there are special guided e-mountain bike tours incl. technique training. From 2 persons - Euro 170,- per tour.

  • the Hallstättersee-Koppenwinkel-Round – 30 km, 150 metres of change in altitude – wonderful sight to the village of Hallstatt – nature of Koppenwinkelsee
  • the Weissenbach Round – 21 km, 240 metres of change in altitude – our tour for the afternoon after your trip
  • the Hochmuth-Round – 23 km, 500 meters of change in altitude – nice tour for half- a – day
  • the Blaa-Alm Round– 45.5 km, 960 metres of change in altitude – a classic to get started and get to know the region, but also THE tour to take when it is very hot, since most of the change in altitude has to be conquered at the beginning of the tour and Altaussee Lake is a welcome stop off to cool down

A bike tour to the Eternal Wall - pure thrill
  • the Kaiser Tour – 38 km, 770 metres of change in altitude – The tour doesn't just earn its name Kaiser Tour because it leads through the forests and along the paths that Franz and Sis once travelled on foot and by carriage, but primarily because of the highlights it offers. You will see the Ewige Wand and the Tauernweg to Ischl and it has lots of cozy cabins with the Ratluck'n and Hoisenradalm to offer.
  • the Sandling-Round - 35 km, 1350 metres of change in altidude – have a break at lake Altausee and a Kaiserschmarrn at the Hütteneck-hut
  • the Raschberg Round – 52.50 km, 1,610 metres of change in altitude – Into the Ausseerland and over the challenging Grabenbach back up to the Raschberg – marvelous view of one of the best-known mountain meadows in the Salzkammergut – the Hütteneckalm – the Kaiserschmarrn alone is reason enough for a visit!
  • the Durchgangsalm-Round – 48 km, 1380 Hütteneckalm – The tour starts on Lake Hallstatt and leads along the new bike path with a view of the world-famous city of Hallstatt before the path becomes steep in the Echerntal on the way to Gosau – a tour that offers everything – beautiful views, cosy meadows, challenging inclines and declines.
  • the Salzkammergut 5 Lake Tour (lake Wolfgangsee, Schwarzensee, etc.) – 60 km, 1350 Hütteneckalm – Mountains and lakes: a combination that the Salzkammergut presents spectacularly, beautiful views and also very appropriate for bikers who without a lot of technical skills.

We are a traditional hotel and restaurant business located in the most beautiful spot of the over 1000-year-old city of Steyr – right at the confluence of the Enns & Steyr rivers.

The **** HOTEL RESTAURANT MINICHMAYR was built in 1589 and has always been used commercially: as a innkeeper and baker, tailor, and fishmonger. From 1919 to 1933, it was the Zipfer Brewery and Tavern, operated by the Jurcic family. Since 1933, it has been a hotel, owned by the Minichmayr family. The company name has remained to this day, as it is already well-known around the world.

Since 1978, the hotel has been owned by the Viertler family. The establishment has been transformed into a beautiful, comfortable, and international 4-star hotel & restaurant with 85 beds and 200 seats in the panoramic restaurants overlooking the Enns & Steyr and the hand-carved, cozy Flösserstube. Generous renovations are carried out almost annually. Prominent figures from around the world – from high politics, as well as business, industry, and the international art scene – come and go here.

With great attention to detail, our business and romantic rooms, wedding suites, and romantic studios have been newly furnished in a "Modern Biedermeier Style" and equipped with all comforts for well-being. A spacious, multifunctional, and unique event and business center with the latest technology for seminars and conferences has been established.

All guests - including those from afar - have access to our Panorama Wellness Oasis for relaxation and enjoyment: infrared cabin, sauna with color light therapy, herbal steam bath, panoramic whirlpool, and relaxation and meditation room. You can expect a top-class retreat in a relaxed atmosphere.

Please stop in front of the hotel entrance at Haratzmüllerstraße/corner Bahnhofstraße upon arrival and come to the reception for parking information.
It is possible to

  • park in the nearby BOE parking garage (Address: Pachergasse 9, 4400 Steyr) - discounted parking tickets for €8.50/24h can be obtained at the hotel reception
  • park in the short-term parking zone (free from 18:00 to 08:00) in front of the hotel
  • park in some free parking spaces by the quay

If arriving by train:
Steyr station (local train station)
Since we are located at the end of Bahnhofstraße, the best way to us is to walk down the street - a maximum of 3 minutes walking time. We are happy to arrange a taxi transfer for our guests in advance (however, this is not free).

If arriving by car:
Arrival from Vienna:
Use the A1 motorway to the Haag exit.
There, follow the federal road (B42/B122) to the entrance of Steyr. Drive along Haagerstraße, which merges into Haratzmüllerstraße, towards the city center.
At the “Bauhaus” roundabout, take the 2nd exit into Pachergasse and drive straight ahead until the next traffic light. At that point, continue straight and turn into the next alley on the right (C&A; Johannesgasse).
Follow this alley to the bridgehead - the intersection with Bahnhofstraße. Please do NOT drive down to the hotel parking lot by the river, but directly in front of the hotel entrance!
Arrival from Salzburg:
Use the A1 motorway to the Sattledt exit, where you continue on the federal road B122 towards Kremsmünster/Bad Hall/Steyr.
Drive towards the city center, i.e., turn right into Schwimmschulstraße, continue straight through the tunnel (Tomitzstraße).
Then please continue straight over Schönauerbrücke and DO NOT turn left into the Stadtplatz.
At the traffic light, keep left and at the next turn-off, turn left into Dukartstraße (Jet gas station). Continue straight over the first traffic light. At the next junction, turn left into Johannesgasse (C&A).
Follow this alley to the bridgehead - the intersection with Bahnhofstraße. Please do NOT drive down to the hotel parking lot by the river, but directly in front of the hotel entrance!
Arrival from Linz:
Drive on the A1 motorway to the Enns exit, then continue on the federal road B309 (Ennser-Straße) towards Steyr. In Steyr, please continue on Ennserstraße (B115) towards the city center. Then turn left at Taborknoten into Michael-Blümelhuber-Straße and continue over the Ennstalbrücke to the roundabout, where you take the 2nd exit into Pachergasse and drive straight ahead until the next traffic light. There you must continue straight and then turn into the next alley on the right (C&A; Johannesgasse).
Follow this alley to the bridgehead - the intersection with Bahnhofstraße. Please do NOT drive down to the hotel parking lot by the river, but directly in front of the hotel entrance!
Arrival from Graz:
Use the A9 motorway towards Linz and exit at Klaus, where you continue on the federal road B140 towards Molln – Grünburg - Steyr.
Drive towards the city center, i.e., turn right into Schwimmschulstraße, continue straight through the tunnel (Tomitzstraße).
Then please continue straight over Schönauerbrücke and DO NOT turn left into Stadtplatz.
At the traffic light, keep left and at the next turn-off, turn left into Dukartstraße (Jet gas station). Continue straight over the first traffic light. At the next junction, turn left into Johannesgasse (C&A).

For support, our hotel guidance system is at your disposal, which consists of green signs.
Please drive to the hotel entrance at Haratzmüllerstraße first and then park your car.
We have a hotel-owned free parking lot directly at the quay entrance of the hotel, and in addition, our guests can also use the BOE underground parking garage, just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. (Parking tickets for €6.00/24h.)

If you are following the GPS device, please enter Johannesgasse instead of the address Haratzmüllerstraße, as the navigation system typically directs you to the wrong end of Haratzmüllerstraße.
