- the Blaa-Alm Round– 45.5 km, 960 metres of change in altitude – a classic to get started and get to know the region, but also THE tour to take when it is very hot, since most of the change in altitude has to be conquered at the beginning of the tour and Altaussee Lake is a welcome stop off to cool down

- the Kaiser Tour – 38 km, 770 metres of change in altitude – The tour doesn't just earn its name Kaiser Tour because it leads through the forests and along the paths that Franz and Sis once travelled on foot and by carriage, but primarily because of the highlights it offers. You will see the Ewige Wand and the Tauernweg to Ischl and it has lots of cozy cabins with the Ratluck'n and Hoisenradalm to offer.
- the Sandling-Round - 35 km, 1350 metres of change in altidude – have a break at lake Altausee and a Kaiserschmarrn at the Hütteneck-hut
- the Raschberg Round – 52.50 km, 1,610 metres of change in altitude – Into the Ausseerland and over the challenging Grabenbach back up to the Raschberg – marvelous view of one of the best-known mountain meadows in the Salzkammergut – the Hütteneckalm – the Kaiserschmarrn alone is reason enough for a visit!
- the Durchgangsalm-Round – 48 km, 1380 Hütteneckalm – The tour starts on Lake Hallstatt and leads along the new bike path with a view of the world-famous city of Hallstatt before the path becomes steep in the Echerntal on the way to Gosau – a tour that offers everything – beautiful views, cosy meadows, challenging inclines and declines.
- the Salzkammergut 5 Lake Tour (lake Wolfgangsee, Schwarzensee, etc.) – 60 km, 1350 Hütteneckalm – Mountains and lakes: a combination that the Salzkammergut presents spectacularly, beautiful views and also very appropriate for bikers who without a lot of technical skills.

Dr. Vogelgesang-Gorge in Spital am Pyhrn
4582 Spital am Pyhrn

A wild romantic rock gorge with a doctorate - the longest gorge in Upper Austria and the second longest gorge in Austria!
Experience the natural spectacle of the rushing water in the longest gorge in Upper Austria, measuring over 1.5 km from the ticket house and 2.7 km from parking lot 2, as well as 500 wooden and stone steps. The gorge is also the starting point for the approximately 5-hour 3-hut hike (Bosruckhütte, Rohrauerhaus, and Hofalm).
The Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge is suitable for toddlers and older individuals with the appropriate fitness level and hiking experience. After the ascent, you will join the international long-distance hiking trail (E 601 via alpina), where a beautiful and popular circular hike is available. After climbing, a little tired, you can relax in the Bosruckhütte, at Rohrauerhaus, or before descending to Spital am Pyhrn at Hofalm and strengthen yourself with good home-cooked meals.
Dr. Moritz Vogelgesang was the community doctor of Spital am Pyhrn.
As he was also the chairman of the beautification association, he made great efforts to make this wild romantic rock gorge, over 1.5 km long, accessible, which is why it bears his name. However, it is often mistakenly referred to as the Vogelsang Gorge.
The Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge was first made partially accessible for the summer visitors in 1906. In 1908, the gorge was destroyed by flooding. From 1926 to 1927, the entire rock gorge was adapted by the municipality of Spital am Pyhrn with stairs and walkways anchored in the vertical rock for hiking. When traversing the Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge, about 500 steps must be climbed. These stairs and walkways are thoroughly checked before opening in early May and are well maintained throughout the summer, ensuring that visitors can safely and risk-free experience the natural spectacle of the rushing water. In 2006, the gorge celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Suitable for:
- The wooden steps are slippery in wet weather.
- Suitable for toddlers and elderly people with appropriate fitness.
- There are wooden walkways and wooden steps in the gorge that are open at the back.
- Dogs are allowed in the gorge; however, the open wooden steps can pose a problem for many dogs.
