Lake Attersee bee farm, beautifully situated above the lake, invites old and young into the world of the honey bees

The BIENENHOF ATTERSEE consists of four basic pillars. Each area goes hand in hand with the others. The guided tours become particularly vivid through the nature trails. The farm store and Café Ambrosius would lose authenticity without beekeeping and our special honey. Before and after the tours, many of our guests spend time at Café Ambrosius. Conversely, the products in the farm store often arouse the interest of our customers and they decide to take another walk along our nature trails.
All in all, it is like nature: a cycle that simply works in itself!

An educational trail with 30 information panels and a show beehive explains the life of the honey bee and its products to visitors in three different levels of difficulty. All educational panels are bilingual - in German and English. A direct view of Lake Attersee and the Höllengebirge mountains from the bee nature trail make the Bienenhof an insider tip among nature lovers.
Directly on the nature trail there are also three somewhat secluded bee islands with numerous, busy honey bees. Depending on the season and the weather, you can observe the hustle and bustle at the flight hole, visit a full honeycomb, or keep an eye out for the queen.

Special tours for children are offered during the vacation season. Here you can hear stories, play games and, of course, taste the bees.

Weekly public tours for young & old take place every Thursday at 4:15pm during the summer months. Registration is required by Thursday at noon. Group tours are possible at any time (Mon-Sat).

In the farm store, however, there are not only little things to eat or drink, but also a large selection of honeys from all over the world, fragrant beeswax candles as well as body care products made of beeswax. Nice little gift ideas or souvenirs can be purchased here at a reasonable price. The "Gsunde Eck" with propolis and flower pollen, but also the organic tea assortment: the organic herbs complement the health-promoting assortment in the farm store of the Bienenhof in Attersee. This has dedicated itself completely to a resource and environmentally friendly mode of operation. That is why "Bienenhof-Honige" are also certified organic and the Bienenhof is a member of Bio-Austria.
