How to get to the Almwirtinnen in Grünau im Almtal:

We recommend travelling by public transport!

bB train: from Wels railway station take the Almtalbahn (line 153) to Grünau im Almtal;

numerous connections from Wels railway station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101), Grünau railway station is only a 5-minute walk away.

By bus: OÖVV bus route 533/534 Almsee - Grünau im Almtal - Gmunden, bus stop Grünau Im Dorf is directly in front of the inn

With the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 60 from the Almsee GH Seehaus or Hochberghaus stop to the Grünau im Almtal train station stop, call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 or order on the otaxi app.

By foot : The Almwirtinnen are centrally located in the village centre of Grünau and can also be easily reached via the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" and the footbridge directly behind the house!

By bike: The R11 Almtal cycle path, part of the "Traunvierteltour", is only 150 metres away and cyclists can also reach the inn via the station and the footbridge. Both on the way to the Almsee and from the Almsee back towards Scharnstein.

By car:

Western motorway A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau

Western motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - Regau - Gmunden - Scharnstein - Grünau

The Almwirtinnen can be found in the centre of Grünau im Almtal. On the way to the Almsee or the Cumberland Wildlife Park, the blue house on the right-hand side is hard to miss.

Car park: We ask our guests to use the large car park after Grünau station and to enjoy the last few metres over the Almbrücke bridge.
