Bad Goisern – road biking tour to the Attersee variant 1
This beautiful tour takes you to the most beautiful Salzkammergut lakes.
Starting from Landhotel Agathawirt in Bad Goisern you take the main road B145 to the emperor’s town Bad Ischl. At the junction Bad Ischl Nord you take the road to Ebensee / Gmunden. Before reaching Ebensee you turn left into the Weißenbachtal valley (B153) and reach Weißenbach am Attersee. Via Strobl and Bad Ischl you finally go back to Bad Goisern.
Bad Goisern – Attersee with the racing bike variant II - long
The first part of this variant is the same as variant I until Weißenbach am Attersee. Then you cycle anti-clockwise around the Attersee and pass the villages Steinbach, Weyregg, Schörfling and Seewalchen, Attersee, Nussdorf and finally Unterach. Here you take the road to Mondsee. Just as in variant I you then go via Wiesenau and Schafling to St. Gilgen, then on to Strobl and Bad Ischl until you reach Landhotel Agathawirt in Bad Goisern.
Bad Goisern – Strobl on the racing bike
A beautiful and easy racing bike tour from Bad Goisern to Lake Wolfgang and through the emperor’s town Bad Ischl. Along the main road B145 you go slightly downhill to Bad Ischl. On a parallel path to the main road you cross the emperor’s town before you bike on a short stretch of the main road B158 to Pfandl. There you turn right at the traffic lights to the “Alte Wolfgangseestraße” L546. Via Wirling and Radau the road goes to Strobl and from here along the B158 back to the starting point in Bad Goisern.

Obertraun – Bad Aussee road biking tour
This tour leads you through the picturesque Koppental valley.
From the hotel you take the east shore hiking and biking path to Obertraun. There you make a turn to the road leading into the Koppental valley before you conquer the steepest part, the Koppenpass with a challenging gradient of max. 23%. On you go to Bad Aussee and then on the main road B145 towards Bad Goisern. At the traffic junction Bad Goisern Süd you turn to the main road B153 towards Gosaumühle. Here you turn at the junction and go via Hallstatt and Obertraun back to Hotel Agathawirt.

Welcome to the mountain at the Hofalm in Spital am Pyhrn
The Hofalm is a charming and family-friendly mountain hut in the Pyhrn Priel region at 1305 metres above sea level with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and the Garstner Valley.
The Hofalm is located above Spital am Pyhrn on the west side of the Great Pyhrgas. Its special location is characterized by a unique view of the Sengsengebierge, the Tote Gebirge and the Windischgarsten valley. From the cozy sun terrace you can enjoy a wonderful panorama and unwind. The innkeepers will spoil you with high-quality, home-made products. Nothing stands in the way of a wonderful and energetic day in the mountains.Hint / Advice:
Access
- Direct access from the Dr.Vogelgesangklamm car park in approx. 1.5 hours (approx. 620 m, trail no. 614).
- Via the beautiful Dr.Vogelgesangklamm gorge and the 3 hut hike in about 3 hours (approx. 620 m, trail no. 601).
- Shortest ascent from the Bosruckhütte car park in 1h 20min (approx.400hm, trail no.601)
- Most environmentally friendly ascent from Spital am Pyhrn railway station in approx. 2 hours (approx.660hm, trail no.614)
All these ascents are well marked and are also ideal for families!
Alpine approaches:
- For those who want to reach the summit of the Great Pyhrgas via the Hofersteig (helmet recommended due to falling rocks!) in approx. 4 hours (approx. 1200 m, trail no. 601 and 615).
- For those who want to reach the summit of the Great Pyhrgas via the Hofalmsattel in about 4 hours (approx. 1200 m, trail no. 601 and 614).
All these alpine approaches are well marked, but very demanding due to length, altitude and steepness. Surefootedness and alpine experience required. Take special care on the Hofersteig because of the danger of falling rocks!
Long-distance hiking trails

Pyhrn-Priel-Card
As the owner of the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard, if you are up to 15 years of age, you will receive a stick nail with your voucher card, which you can nail onto your hiking stick. In connection with consumption, this stick nail is free of charge, otherwise it can be purchased for a fee of € 1.50.
The hiking stick and the voucher card are available - only for children up to 15 years - free of charge once at the tourist offices in the region (only not valid for groups).

The Hofalm is not accessible by car and can only be hiked!
Arrival by public transport:
The Hofalm can be reached on foot from Spital am Pyhrn railway station in about 2 hours.
The car park is located at the Bosruckhütte!
